Tightening Up Shock absorber nut

Hi Guys,

I got 1 of the front struts installed today and when I went to tighten up the top shock absorber but it tightened it up a bit but then it just spins the shock shaft.

I have read that an impact driver is the way to go but I don't have one.

You could grab the shaft with mutigrips, with something to protect the shaft, but this would be difficult as the spring is in the way.

Any other ideas.

Here's some pics.

Cheers

Matt

Put the wheels on and drop it on the ground and then do the final tighten of the nut
