a couple of questions

Hi All, I'm just finishing off the last couple of things of my 11 year GT Capri resto and could use a little help. Does anyony have a set of front seat belt bolts and washers they can sell to me. There are six in total. Also can anyone explain to me how/where the rear seat belts are mounted. And one last thing I've attached a photo of the gear knob I've fitted, can anyone say that this is the correct standard one as factory fitted. I've seen other types (smooth black plastic) I'll post more photos in the projects section soon. Cheers

Gear Knob as shown is a UK high spec one (RS3100 3000E GXL) Aust delivered GT had the smooth hard plastic type.  However the knob you have was available and could have been dealer fitted (like fake side vents and bumper over-riders)

Rear belts as stated above, centre belt you need to remove the lower part of the seat the bolt holes are in the centre.  Front belt top goes high up on the B pillar, the bottom bolt goes in the sill in the centre of the pillar.  The buckle is bolted where the hump meets the floor pan just past the seat rail bolt hole, you may have to remove the carpet to see them all

The gear knob on mine looks like this (except for reverse position).  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Capri-Escort-Cortina-GT-Gear-Knob-N-O-S-/300773923815?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item460785dbe7

Position of reverse depends on if V6, 1.6 etc, but this is the style you should keep an eye out for (I think).  There was a V6 one on ebay a while ago but had stupid price on it.

This picture is the 4cyl gate (Rvrs @ top-left)
The V6 has reverse at Bottom-left as per first picture (at least for the side-loader boxes, not sure about type-5 single rails).
Beware also that the early Cortina(?) has the same gate pattern as V6 but smaller diameter gearstick shaft  - I'll have to drill and tap the one I bought (...bugger)

that smooth black one with reverse top left on ebay is from the same seller I bought pictured at top, (not too nice a chap to deal with plus very expensive) I've seen that capri clinic has them (V6 type) for $66, ill get one of those too.
