1980 mk2 pinto conversion

gday iv been following this forum for some years now thought i would post up some pics of my currant project which i aquired about 2 months ago for cheap

its a 1980 mk2
standard 1600 power house
missing exhaust
dent in drivers front quater panel
small dents here and there to name some of the bad bits
some good bits are
mint beige interior (im too scared to sit in it)
reset leaf springs and lowering blocks
2 litre front struts and springs brakes etc
2.4 quick turn steering rack with a TINY steering wheel

as i thinnk the 1.6 cant pull the skin of a piece of fritz the plans are to put a mild pinto in but.......

as i have never done this conversion before i am un aware of what can and cant be interchanged from the 1.6 to the 2ltr so any info/links would be much appreciated

thanks for looking
