Xflow fuel pumps??
These are the two pumps I have from two different 711M motors.
The one on the left is from the 75 ghia engine. "AC type RAI", made in England. Part numbers 1463 2145 on the internal part of the casting and 7971278 on the arm
The pump on the right is from a 1976 escort. "BCD torino", made in Italy. part no 1896/5 8F.
Both of them work if on the correct engine but cannot be swapped around.
I need a new pump to replace the one the left. This is the one I'm looking at getting hopefully it works.

why can't the ones picture be interchanged? have you priced a pump at a local parts, seems awefully expensive on ebay,

I haven't shopped around yet woz. I tried fitting the Italian unit when the engine swap was underway but the rocker arm didn't engage properly with the camshaft. If you believe it should work then I'll give it another try.

i will check, but i am 99% sure it should work, I don't believe the fitment is different on any of the push rod engines. the style of pump changes, but they will interchange,

I can tell you from experience that the glass bowl pump that came on the mk 1 capri etc is interchangable with a mk2 esky type pump. Mine shagged out on my capri and I just got a 2nd hand one from a escort, works perfectly.

Yep it works fine. It was leaking though but the BCD is a better design and all I had to do was nip up the screws. Thanks
