JBW RS WHEELS

Pretty sure some members bought some replica rs wheels from jbw in the UK.  To those that have a set did you get 7 or 7.5 inch and were you happy with quality, fit etc.
Cheers and thanks in advance

All good. Mine are midland wheels. 13x7 polished finish. Look fantastic on the mk2. No clearance issues on standard suspension. Might be talked into selling them for the right price. Currently fitted with two new yoko a048r and two worn a032r.

JBW are Midland are Chinese. All the same. I've sold about 10 sets and all were consistant quality of finish and non one has posted on a forum they are duds.
So I'd say quality is pretty good, even for Chinese crap as one of our members is keen to remind us.

I have fitted up tyres to a few sets of these JBW / Midlands RS 4 Spokes. The finish on them is excellent and they balance up great too. Dunno how they sell them for that price and still make money though.

Being ET06, I thought owners were saying they require rolling the guards to fit them under MkIIs, as they stick out an extra 6mm from the more usual ET12s (e.g. Superlites).

I only have 13's  et06 so with some tough suspension i think i won't have much issue with the guards, but otherwise - yes - the 06 will likely not fit under guards. Admittedly i have 7 1/2 on 7in rims and they are pretty flush to the ouside. Just barely legal.

    Glenn, are the guards rolled??
I used to run 205s on Rebels and my guards were all rolled (still rubbed). I've since got rid of the Rebels and put the guards back to standard, but am looking very closely at these 7inch JBW's.

I have the JBW 13 x 7 polished with black on my rs2000. The car is lowered and can only fit my little finger between tyre and guards on the rear and my guards have been rolled. My tyres are 205/60r13

    Hope this helps.

Yeah no dramas once the car has the wheels back on I will take some. There are a few in the show room under lachies RS. They are not close up but it will give you a idea of what they look like. It changed the whole look of the car by filling the guards up. Can't complain about the quality only thing is that the chrome on the wheel nuts is starting to peel and painted the center caps black and some RS stickers.

    Cheers Lachie

federal make 205/60/13 in a 595 which is a sport tyre, but you would be better off putting a 185/60/13 on, hankook make these in a sport tyre aswell, which are better on road than the federal. i have 205/60/13 yokohama 352's on my mk2 currently and had to roll the guards for them to fit, but the footprint is too wide and thus creates more understeer than you would expect

Are they still making the Hankook 13's?
I see that Federal also make a 185/60/13 in their 595 Ultra High Performance range.
