Mk2 with 1.6L and Auto Box. Will a 2.0L bolt up????

As the title says,
a mk2 escort with a 1.6 engine auto. if change engine with a 2L will the box bolt up without modification? torque converter etc etc??
ive never done this before?

    No, they dont fit, front of the box is different.  I mucked around with a spacer etc to try and get one to fit, but in the end just got a 2ltr auto and fitted it and saved myself the heartache.
     
    I have a good 2 ltr c3 auto if you need one, $100

    that saves me a whole lot of hassle!!
    I would take the C3 off you but the postage would cost more!!so not economical for me atm. thanks for the offer! and the advice!

    Might be worth getting a freight quote through www.e-go.com - I've used them fro wheels to sill panels to complete diff assemblies - very cheap
