well after a month or 2 of nothing i came across this and couldnt help myself... and then this became the new project but i got to drive it at the same time which made it all worth while after blowing the diff center for the 3rd time i decided to get it done right, tranx lsd fully rebuilt diff center, shotpeened axles which ended up costing me alot more then i ever planned for... car was off the road for 3 months while waited for parts and the money to pay for them .... very fun car to drive revving out to 6500rpm and still wanting to go on its way to 7 but im not that cruel again things sort of slowed down after a while. since i bought this car i put the quick rack in, put a kit throught the wilwood front callipers, alumminium radiator, ceramic coated big bore extractors, 2.5" stainless steel mandrel bent exhaust with small hotdog and varex( very good sound out of it),2 new alternators... havign some very bad electrical problems, 8000k HID headlights,diff... coil over front struts, gaz inserts, new seat belts and whole heap of other things i forgotten about

What did you do with the cross member did you use sr20 mounts or the vl mounts, and also g/box mounts

Xmember is a modified world cup Xmember so there rubbers are stand bushes but the mounts are made out of plate steel and some tubing I'll find some pictures, as for gearbox, until I can get my hands on a z32 Gbox and adapter I can't design my Xmember until then having a great deal of trouble tracking one down

There is no point in doing that.Tto fit the Sr box escort xmember mounting points need to be removed from the trans tunnel to allow for the extra width of the bigger gearbox. I suggest modded sr xmember or a full custom one.

if you were talking about the gearbox xmember rs2000 is exactly right and my tunnel has been completely replaced so it custom fabricated for me which i prefer to trying to modify a sr one... custom will be much neater. if you were talking about engine cross members i would suggest talking to esky79 his set up is good. pom501 ( i think thats right) used to make sr20 xmembers, i got mine from hendo who i think got it from pom... long story anyway sr member will be a pain in the ass as all the steering componets would mount to it without extreme modification

I hear you. My parents own about 3 monster sheds any one of which would be perfect but they all have dirt floors too. Cheers Matt
