mk1 heater not working

Hi all, just stripping out mk1 for paint, heater doesnt work, fan runs fine, any ideas before i strip it all out.
Flushed cooling system etc few times but no luck

    the Mk1 heater box is quite a simple affair.  Coolant flows through heater matrix all the time with a flap directing cold air either straight to the cabin or via the hot heater matrix.  Either the matrix is blocked (airflow through it or collant internally) or the flap is not flapping.
     
    Just pulled mine to bits ready for replacement with a bespoke assembly.

    If your heater isnt working i would start at the thermostat, does your engine have one and does it work? Does the temp guage stay cold?

    Make it go FASTER!

    Thanks for that, Gdub she runs good temp, always has, its a one owner granny car from perth so she prob never used the heater, im thinking its partially blocked but it should be out today so i'll see then.

    put the garden hose onto the heater inlet and remove other hose and flush - many years ago my XY heater wasnt working either, flushed system etc,but not the heater core - flushed the core till water ran clean --- hoo hot as then
