crossmember

hi, was wondering is the 2.0 pinto and the 1.6 xflow crossmembers the same or is there a differance in them. cheers

    Crossmembers are the same, though I'm pretty sure (someone correct me if I'm wrong) you just need the mounts to suit each engine. So if you get a different engine, try and grab the mounts with it if you can.
    They should be pretty readily available around the place if you don't have them.

    Hi crossmember is the same, the brackets on the motors are different, the pinto brackets are shorter

    cheers guys,iv put my 1.6 in today with the 2.0 brackets and mounts, but the mounts seem to be resting on the bottom off the crossmember slots, were should they be sitting on the crossmember. cheers

    The pinto mounts are much shorter than the Kent due to the pinto being wider, my 1.6 has the rubber mount as part if the engine bracket, not sure if they are all like that tho, putting the cossi in and got some pinto mounts and they are alot shorter, on both motors the mount slides right down into the slot

    cheers mate, iwas told that my pinto brackets and mounts would work, every thing looks ok but would like to be sure.
