Sierra Electronic Dizzy/Ford TFI on Megasquirt II

Guys,
Im just changing over to the sierra electronic disctributor with my fuel injection set up and have now got a Megatune computer.
I was just wondering if people who have done this use what appears to be FORD TFI module, http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/TFI.htm which was in the original sierra loom, or just gone to this type of setup http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/vb921.htm
Any info or help would be great from people who are running the megasquirt on a pinto
Thankyou,!
Kieran

i run edis with megasquirt, pretty easy to setup the tech side of it once you get a trigger wheel mounted and crank trigger, parts can be bought from the local wrecker as well

Thanks Joey. So you aren't running distributor at all and just using coil packs for each plus?
Id like to utilise what I've got if i can, thats the only thing.

    Will do joey.
Out of interest, where did you grab your parts for your edis? In case i end up going this path would be great to know what is readily available?

the parts i used were ef ?? falcon coil pack & crank trigger with ford mondeo EDIS module , the trigger wheel and bracket i had laser cut, if you decide to go this way i may have a trigger wheel & bracket spare but i'd have to find it, the only change i was looking at running later model coil on plug off the falcons, so theres one less thing mounted in the engine bay , it would still be wired up as wasted spark though, at least if something stuffs up i just goto the wreckers

hi, i run a 36-1 with an EF VR sensor and the VR conditioner cct (no edis). Spark is wasted spark from a pair of VP Commodore coils in wasted spark mounted on the rhs shock tower.
The problem I find is you have to order in the resistive plugs and ive had a couple fail. Could be due to the 1.2mm plug gap.
