GTV6 Its no secret here that I dont like Kevin, so to add some balance to this sob story I wonder if he would be opening up his wallet if this happened to one of us. Based on my sour experience with him I doubt it. If it is no secret, then why do you feel you have to tell everybody again? Now that you have revealed your true colours, I don't imagine many people would be opening their wallets for you in the same situation.

A few reasons 1. When I was young and new to capris he committed the ulimate capri sin, he tried to pass of a converted 1600 as a genuine V6. When I found out I asked for my deposit back and he refused. In todays money equiv to $5000 lost. 2. With his extensive knowledge of capris he has never bothered to give any of his time to share his knowledge and help out on this forum. 3. Good people lose their houses every day, either to fire or the banks. Has he ever given any of them $1. Did he donate to the Toodjay and Margaret river bush fire victims? If he had of said in his video that he had spent his life helping others then my attitude would be different. But he didnt. He didnt make any offer of thanks like donating part of his business profits to charity once he was back on his feet as a way to to say thanks. What does that all say about me? It says that if you rip me off I never forget and I never forgive. It says that I belive that if you are going to ask for help that you should offer to pay it forward. It says that I believe that if you dont live a charitable life, then you shouldnt beg for money on youtube - its pathetic.

Well mr gtv6 maybe this is how he will turn his life around, maybe he will have a fresh revelation of how he can help others after being touched by ordinary people who dont know him but just want to help him get back on his feet. Im glad your not god, heaven would be a lonely place.

GTV6, I wasn't aware that you'd had issues with Kevin, so I'm sorry to hear that. I too have been ripped off by someone saying that the Capri I bought was a GT (when it wasn't). That is one of the reasons why I am so committed to finding out as much as I can about the cars so people can tell what they have, or know what they're buying. I've also been the victim of fire some years ago. The little **** next door decided to play with matches in the dry bushes outside the shed of the house we were renting. Long story short, no-one was interested in helping - not the police, insurance company, the little ****'s parents, no-one. I lost all my Capri parts for the car I was rebuilding (the same car I thought was a GT), and various other items which I found out weren't covered in my contents policy. That's why I had to essentially start all over again buying parts, and getting them fixed up. I even spent 8 months trying to convince the stupid real estate agent that the shed hadn't been rebuilt and was still a burnt out shell at the end of the driveway! I felt sorry for Kevin, so I thought I'd post something on a few forums to try and help a bit. I'm also bringing forward an order for some of his bits to help with his cashflow. If he ripped you off though, that's not cool. Cheers Jamie

2. With his extensive knowledge of capris he has never bothered to give any of his time to share his knowledge and help out on this forum. With the comments made at times by the odd few since I have been on this forum I wouldn't either if I were him. My experience with the Capri Clinic has always been positive and Kevin has never hesitated to stop and have a yarn and offer lots of his extensive knowledge. Weather he ripped you off or donated to the fire victims I have no idea but in my dealings with him he has always been helpful

Well, I been moved to comment.... Ok, Kevin has had a bad run, and has asked for help from his business customers and Capri community. S**t happens - he's not the first and won't be the last. So, If you would like to help, you can donate direct or bring forward that buying order for his business. If you don't want to help, that's fine too. I think we've all heard enough of this discussion here (I'm in agreement with hotboostgt). The way forward (for those interested) has been clearly stated. Time to move on. Might be time to for the forum moderators to truncate this discussion thread.

Yes, this has gone down hill since yesterday...please keep to the original point of the thread guys, if you dont wish to assist or have a bad experience to share, best not make it known in this thread. If the bad experience stories werent fit for posting prior to this person's disaster, they really arent fit for posting in response to the disaster.

FOR STARTERS, I HAVE 20 spare A61 CAPRI AIR FILTER ELEMENTS AT MY WORKSHOP IN SEAFORD, MELB 3198 They are no longer available from Repco or Ryco. Rather than make a "price in concrete" for them, maybe you could all suggest a fair price to "set", and I send 100% of the money to Kevin: a 100% gift at my end. What do you think ? feel free to suggest a better way. I'd also be happy to deposit proceeds in front of each buyer when they pickup from my workshop, direct in to Kevs account on my PC so there's no question he gets all the money.

Thanks whooligan, I'm afraid you're right. Maybe someone who knows Kevin can ask him how many he would like in case he has clients with Original AF Housings and can use any, and I'd be happy to mail them to him, as they fit ALL Capri Mk I regardless of engine size. Tell Kev I also have HOSES, DISC PADS, UNI JOINTS, INNER TUBES, FAN BELTS, DIZZY CAPS, POINTS, ALL FILTERS (exc V6) for all Capris, all Escorts and all Cortinas, regardless of engine size as the Escorts and Cortinas varied quite a bit from memory. He can have any part number/s he wants with my compliments. I just picked up a standard air filter housing, swapped a boot trim piece for it. Ryco web site still lists the A61 and they are available online for $22. Plenty of options in the UK as well.
