    I have a three. Inch (i think its 3)autometer tacho in the drivers side air vent its inconspicuous and im not a fan of monster tacho's

    Yeah, Flighter they look very cool.....but I do need something with a shift light.
    Adrian, my car is a Mk1 so no vent on the right hand side, that does look great though.
    Glenn, yep I definatly need one with a shift light, it was hard to look at the tacho the whole time.
    Has anyone used the Type R tacho? I havent heard of them till I started looking.

    Smiths do a really good one with a shift light on the face

    various sizes and rpm limits, and will go in the standard dash tacho hole
