Steve's other Mk2

Righto. Project Number 2. I bought this one as a spare shell for the rally project but it was good enough that i've decided to get it onto club plates.
She's a 1977 1600 L model coupe that was original down the AM only radio. I've swapped out the crappy green interior for a much better green interior that I had in stock. I gave away the original steel rims and fitted a set very nice rims off a rally pack. I've also swapped the dash and steering wheel. That'll be it as far as modifications go. The rest of the work has been to get the car back to roadworthy. Normal things like brake lines, suspension bushes, new exhaust system, diff seals.

Nice car Steve, although I did notice your garage looks a little bigger in these pics.

Hehehe. Don't tempt me. I'm spending enough time trying to get the white one running.

Exhaust is all fitted up. Sounds mean for a stock 1600. It's being tuned this week. Just need to swap out the drivers seat and get a new battery fitted and it should be ready for a once over for rego.

Mark this one down. I've finished something. Paperwork has all been sorted and I'm now in proud possession of a set of shiny new club plates.

Now to see just how quick I can get to 90 days. :)

    Project complete.

I have a beige Mk2 that's next in line for some work. First job is to fix the crossmember mount that is loose in the chassis rail. The parts are mostly there. 2L from a scrapped rally pack, gearbox, rear axle, interior. Wiring will be interesting but shouldn't be too difficult. Body is in better condition than the green one but the whole car is stripped back to a bare shell and will take a bit longer to get going.

Don't worry Bryan. If I have to sell it at any point, you'll have first and last option on it.
