Painting at home

Hi all. Whats the best type of pressure pack paint to use. Im thinking of doing some of the cars parts like the crossmembers and rear axle/diff housing at home but I dont have spray gear or compressors etc. In the past Ive used a dulux etch primer and then the automotive colour followed by some clear coat. Im after a bit of durability to chipping off and I know getting it 2pacd or powder coated is a prefered option but Id like to do as much stuff myself and also save a bit

I have not used it but a mate at work has just painted his fuel tank with KBS "Rust Seal".
It's abrush on "self leveling" product and dries extremely hard with a glorious shine (he used gloss).

Also available in a variety of colurs and lustre.
He was very pleased with the result.

    Cheers

My local auto guy has a primerless polyurathane gloss black, its sick, hard, like way better than acrylic, enamel, best **** ever. Just wish i'd found it sooner. About $13 a can. 2 coats is all you'll need. only real problem is its a bit prone to runs when used over enthuasiastically. If i remember I'll get the brand name.
