Tacco has gone crazy... (standard tacco)

Hi all

I have recently changed my cluster over to a tacco ghia one and i have everything working fine. My only problem is the tacco itself. it works fine but when you blip the throttle it shows the needle go way up the tacco and 'bounces' back down? i have an aftermarket one i was using still hooked up and it goes up and down fine, and when i disconnect the aftermarket onethe factory tacco still is 'bouncy' is this just a stuffed tacco or something that is adjustable?

Cheers
Matty

    Matty,

I had this issue and it was just that the needle was loose on the shaft.

I ended up just pushing it on a bit harder by hand and the problem was fixed.

It's often the most simple of fixes.

    Good luck.

    Matt

Ah righto thanks matt.. so pull the cluster out and remove the tacco section and press the white needle down harder onto the shaft and that should hopefully fix it?

    Ill give it a go!

hope this is a simple fix to :)
