Escort MK2 Race Suspension Settings

Hey All,
I have just bought a MK2 race car and am going through all the little setup details, so that I know what I'm dealing with.
Anyhow, I was wondering what people are running on their MK2's re: camber, toe-in and castor angles?
The beast is running a 2L on twin 48's, lowered with coil-overs on the front and panhard-rod on the rear. Also, looks like the previous owner had spaced out the steering rack and sway bar mounts to eliminate the bump-steer.
Any info on the three settings(camber, castor, toe-in) would be very helpful

Mine has the maximum negative camber i can get evenly on both sides which is about 2.5 degrees, caster is pulled forward about 3.5 minutes and 1 degree toe out.

    Hope this helps

    Ok I'll share too.
Some little things I picked up from the fast guys at the track when I was learning about setting up my car. I tried and tested some of them, most I just set up and left.
    • Anti dive kit, mine drops the mount by about 30mm
    • Space out the steering rack from the mount, about 5mm, not sure what this does but I did it (use longer bolts!)
    • Run less offset on the rear rims. mine are about 12mm different
    • 300-350 lb front springs, this will vary depending on how stiff your chassis is.
    • 180lb rear springs, see above
    • 3-4 deg  neg camber,
    • Max caster (forward)
    • 1-1.5mm tow out
    • def no rear sway bar
    • Don't roll through the corners, especially with a locked diff, getting on the gas reduces understeer.
This is my observations and suggestions, there is HEAPS of variables so not all of them will fit or suit. Most of it is fairly cheap to try out.
I have a spare set of 350lb springs for sale too
