there isnt much choice these days. All are pretty much the same pump in different boxes.

Bryan in my opinion if it isn't stamped GMB or NPW (made in japan) then I wont fit it. As Gareth said they can be in various different branded boxes. Majority of Burson branded pumps are GMB now. Too many failing chinese water pumps out there for my liking.

ok so i changed the pump...turns out it was a GMB pump on it that had failed, well not really failed but it was pretty stuffed and making a hell of a noise(had been for a little bit too!!)
I had purchased a new GMB pump and installed it and its a little quieter under the hood now and i hope theres not any other issues with it!!

    cheers

I know people check on ebay for these bits but quality/price go down by the same amount. I bought a QH pump 8yrs ago from Repco ($55) its still in good working order. After fitting the pump don't over tighten the belt (10mm flex) is plenty or the bearings will fail...again!

    cheers marty,
yeah i figured it was from the previous owner just tightening the belt as hard as he could and thus leading to the pump stuffing up...
As you have said, i havent overtightened it so hopefully this one will last!

    cheers
