1.3 Endura E information

Howdy all,

Just wondering if someone can maybee enlighten me with some information regarding the endura e engine.

From what ive managed to find out is that its a pre-crossflow design (not sure what that means).
i know they are fairly difficult to modify but just wanted to know if there are any parts out there that i can buy, heads, cams, exhaust manifold.

This is the engine out of a Ford KA - its still in a ford ka. im just looking at giving it some more oomph. i know its never going to get close to an escort engine, but still some more power would be nice. has 60HP stock, hoping with intake, exhaust, headers, some porting, bigger TB and a tune maybee 90hp?? and a cam.

Would this cam fit?

Swap the complete engine over as nothing apart from the cam pulley cover and other minor add ons. They are a crossflow not pre x-flow If its cheap buy it and pull it down and compare the internals to the ole x/flow
Turbo it, and get over 100bhp.
I looked into it when i had a mk1 Fiesta (1978) for rebuild....but thort it easier to buy the whole Ford Kak and drive it !!
