Question for the concours guys

Hi All,

Pretty straight forward question.

MK2 RS2000 1980 4 door. The external items in door handles, wider arms, bumper bar (rear). How did they come form the factory?

Painted or Powder coated?. And were they Matt, Satin or High Gloss?

Ive just cleaned a bunch of black external door handles, and i think the giveaway for me was the smell of melting plastic (cleaned with a wire wheel). Powdercoating is effectively plastic coating, but just wanted to take confirmation from experts.

Cheers

Dave

    Thanks John.

Do you know if they were painted, or if it was powdercoat?

They may be a form of powdercoating, but I thought they were  form of chrome as where you insert the key for the door locks they don't mark or scratch
