What are these holes used for??

Hey Guys,
I recently got my rear bumper out and went to bolt it on but noticed that there are 6holes but only 4 mounting holes on the bumper.
I do remember pulling bolts out of thoes holes when i was stripping my car but just cant remember what they were holding.

The holes iam talking about are the ones circled, i thought i better find out befor i put my bumper back on just incase iam missing a mounting bracket but i dont think i am.

Thanks, Dayne

your rear bumper brackets bolt through those two holes. You should then have a second set that mount through the bumper ends into the back side of the rear quarter panels.

A mech for mazda here in Bris said he gets them in all the time, motor stuffed. Reckons the rotaries need to be flogged on a regular basis or they choke up & die.
