Desperately looking for full specs for Pinto 2.0L

Hi Guys,

Ive done a bit of a search but cant seem to find anything relating to this. I am trying to track down fairly quickly a full set of specs for the pinto 2.0L motor (mine is 1980).

I will be pulling down my motor in the next few days to begin its rebuild, and there are signs that it has non original stuff done to it (new camshaft, etc), and these specs would really help me determine the extant of work that may or may not be done to it.

Im after info like original bore sizes, inlet / exhaust sizes, bi end and main bearing sizes and so on.

Does anyone have said information in "e-format" (pdf or the likes) that they could send me, or point me in thr gith direction of where i can find the info?

Thanks heaps everyone.

Dave

    Thanks very much James.

I actually downloaded this the other day, and have been reading through it, but must admit i cannot find anywhere in this document where it mentions the standard round inlet port size on a factory pinto 2000 OHC.

    Ideas??

    Thanks James,

Whilst that certainly has the info im looking for, can anyone confirm for me that the mk1 rs2000 used the same head as the mk2 1980 rs2000?

Does this type of document exist for the mk2 rs2000 (and is the aussie version head the same as the english?).

Thanks heaps. Great source of info this forum!

MK2 is same as Mk1 - check ammendment 14/5E (page 40), MK2 is noted as a evolution of Mk1 to maintain homogolation.
Read the full document - any changes in specifications had to be submitted and approved.

As an interesting aside check ammendment 24/14v (page 54) - Aussie only Rally Pack was homogolated to enable flat front RS2000 to run in international competition.
