Lotus Twin Cam head onto 1600 block

Ive been toying around with the idea of adapting the Lotus twin cam head that we have sitting around, to a 1600 crossflow block.
Ive been looking through the Burtons catalog & they sell the bits to do it.

I have been doing a few sums & at a rough guess would cost around 2-3 grand.

Has anyone else done this before, or know anything about this that I should be aware of?

Cheers

send a PM to Mk1lotus, he will know exactly what's required, and more than likely be able to supply what you need,

Yes a very common mod, has been ever since supply of genuine T/C blocks started to dry up. Using T/C pistons, 1600 rods and crank.  Requires a spacer above front cover and 122 tooth chain (though a 120 tooth can be made to work).

Burtons, yes, or elanfactory.com.au in Vic if you want to buy locally

Hi Neale, is your estimate including carbs? Will you be sourcing a new or used head?
