Few questions, rn20 diff conversion into mk1
Ok so i bought a complete 1975 rn20 yesterday for $200 and plan on taking the diff, it is a g142 centre, now is there anything else i need to or should take from the car before it goes to the wreckers?and will it bolt straight in? also best choice of centres for lsd and best way to do a disc brake conversion keeping stud pattern the same?

Go R31 brakes... STD reshimmed LSD should be ok due to being a light car... KAAZ do great LSD's Go Escort stud pattern, but thats your choice And shut up about the price.... Keep the u bolts to use...

Also dont re use the U bolts. For the sake off a few dollars get some new ones. Just for piece of mind if nothing else.

ok so i have found in one of my mate 4x4 Toyota 4runner wreck a diff with the code g285 so according to the code list this diff is a 4 pinion lsd, can anyone tell me if it will fit into the rn20 diff housing and the axles fit up and all that? think i'm gonna have to put the "all g series interchange with all g series" to the test.

G'day mate, I fitted a later model hilux into my MK1. I used Nissan A32 discs on the rear. They will basically bolt straight on. You may need to lightly file the inside diametre to fit over the diff hub.. I also used the calipers and hand brake cables. I have some escort strut to 5 stud adaptor for front complete with bearings and seals. If you like. These were purchased incorrectly and have never been used.
