Here are a few of progress images of the Mk1 hydraulic pedal box. It is based loosely on the same principle as the Twin cam item although I have had to substantially re-model the assembly to accomodate the bias bar and stock accelerator linkage (rather than the Grp 4). Basically the top of the box is cut to allow the addition of my sections which will retain the OEM mounting points. I will also use the OEM Mk1 pedals unlike others currently available.

Some more from today showing the offset bias bar to allow the use of the OEM pedals. Some others use a modified Fiesta brake pedal to accomplish the same thing but I feel my solution is both more asthetically pleasing and simpler- plus we don't get the Fiesta pedals here  . More to come once I weld up the pedal and finish modifying the side cut-outs on the pedal box frame for the bias bar assembly.

Well I spent some time welding up the Mk1 pedal box housing today. Images below show how I have got around abapting the 3 master cylinders to the relatively narrow Mk1 pedal box whilst retaining the OEM pedals and relationship. Brake pedal sorted and now onto the hyd clutch pedal (cable pedal shown installed). Just need to think about the OEM accelerator pedal to get around the bias bar and the requirement to avoid the remote adjuster when fitted - but i have a few ideas

Decided to make a push to complete the Mk1 assembly today - got darn close!! Modified hydraulic clutch pedal finished - I grafted in the 6mm section to take the clevis assembly. All fitted up and I need to finish modifying the accelerator pedal to clear the bias assembly but still retain the OEM application. I just need to drill and tap the shaft to instal a retaining bolt in the end, machine up a few spacers and off to the platers

Hi Paul. Nice setup! In reference to your boxes. To save cash, are your Hydraulic Pedal Boxes also able to accept a cable clutch mechanism like the GRP4 Fabrications company does? Cheers

Come to think of it. You could just get the hyrdraulic box and use a standard pedal in the mean time! *smacks hand on head*
I suppose I could ask,, Have you considered making one pedal that does both?

guys just thought id chuck a quick thanks on here, got my mkII pedal box with hyd. clutch back from paul few weeks ago now...its looks bloody great. I gotta pull my finger out and get some work done on the car now! but would recommend his work hands down.

Hi Thanks! Yes, I can make a Mk2 pedal box with the hydraulic housing but use the original cable clutch pedal - this is how I do the Mk1 pedal box. If you want to alter your clutch arrangement to hydraulic it's just a case of replacing the pedal with a modified one and installing the master cylinder. Unfortunately it's a lot of mucking around to make a combo clutch pedal so i have not ventured into it. Cheers

Just a small update.
I have had very positive feedback regarding the fitment of the Mk1 hydraulic pedal box.
I have also made some very small improvements to the layout and I will be assembling more shortly.
I now have new pedal bushes so my Mk1 pedal boxes will have new pedal bushes installed as required because I'm finding the majority of the original items are worn, damaged or too brittle.
Most of the Mk2 pedal box bushes are re-usable but will be returned with replacement bushes also if required.
