It's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. Sits A LOT lower in the back now, looks awesome. Brakes feel a lot better than the old ones, though one of the rear calipers has seized or something to that effect, and I've got no handbrake. [:o)] Michael, I'll go snap some pictures of the console right now.

Hey,
What are the four gauges? Fuel level? Water temp?
Also what are the three switches for?
Cheers

From memory, fuel level, water temp, oil temp, and volts. One switch is wipers, one's for the heater, and I haven't found out what the other one does yet. [:I]

Anyway, all that's left to do now is a few interior things (working gauges and matching seats would be a nice start), other than that it's pretty much finished... for now. [}:)] Download Attachment: low.JPG59.25 KB Also, one of the tyres keeps going completely flat overnight. I'm hoping I've just ran something over and punctured it. Have a feeling the inside of the tyre might be rubbing the wheel tubs though, which is just about the last thing I need. [:(!]

The rundown: Had the diff all in working, or so I thought, drove it around a fair bit and it was making a weird wobble. Thought the wheels might have been loose or something, but when I was tightning it the rear drivers side one wasn't on properly. You had to go in on an angle to tighten it, and the wheel brace wouldn't fit inside the holes (thinking back on it, I probably should have given up there and taken it to a wheel shop).
Anyway, fast forward to Saturday night. We decide to take the Escort for a run down to the pizza shop. Make it about 1km, when the shake is really bad, decide to turn around and come home. Around 200m from my house, there's a huge thud. I get out, and one of the wheel studs has snapped off. I attempt to limp the car home really slow, I make it to the end of my street, when there's another loud thud. The car only had 3 studs on it originally, and is now left with 1. Had to get the RACV to come and tow the bloody thing up to my driveway. [B)]
Then yesterday I got it towed up to my usual wheel guys to get them to check it out, thinking I'd be up for a new set of studs and it'd all be good to go for the RSOCVIC cruise this Sunday. Hah, wrong. Got a call today saying that the reason the studs snapped is the diff is using spacers or something, which managed to bend them out of shape and snap them. That, and there's a problem with the front end. I asked my mechanic to change the front brakes, and he swapped the entire front end. So now I have to get my purple shell back from him, and get my other front end swapped in, which I only bought a few weeks ago. Oh, did I mention I need a new centre for one of my Simmons, since the studs have ruined the holes?
So yeah, now I'm up for a heap of money to pay for getting the diff installed, a heap of money to get these guys to fix it, more to get my original front end put back in, plus whatever it costs for the new centrepiece. Also, to top it all off, I found out I can't get a lift into the RSOC cruise.
... I hate Escorts. [:-(]
