Mk1 Oil Cooler mounting

Not urgent, but I'm wondering how other people have mounted their oil coolers in a mk1 Escort.
This is the cooler I've got, with the fancy brackets I've made up.

I was looking at putting it vertically on the drivers side like the following.

Does that look like it would work ok? I did read that the cooler may have to be up against the radiator for it to work better (turbulant air behind the cooler may not go through the rad if there is a gap).
Does anyone have any pictures of how they've done theirs? Or have any suggestions on what the best mounting method may be?

You can sort of see mine in the pic of the white / Blue mk! RS replica in the thread RSOCVic - Ford RS Owners Club Victoria Annual Concourse @ Essendon Airport Sunday 25th

I have mounted mine similar to what you are looking at doing but have pushed it further forward at the bottom. I have also speaced my radiator forward at the bottom like on a MK2 2 litre

    Make it go FASTER!
