Celica 5sp conversion [Needs rebuild]

Selling my celica 5sp and conversion parts... cause it shat itself.  The bad news is the input shaft is jammed solid.

Comes with celica gearbox.  It looks to me like a w50 gearbox with a modified input shaft and an adapter plate to take the escort bell housing.  This means that it works with std. escort clutch/flywheel and clutch fork.
A mount which I think was off a celica and with some new holes can mount it into an escort.
And the tailshaft.

All you'll need is some escort bits n pieces to finish it off.

Also some side notes about mount a celica gearbox:
The shifter does come out of the std manual hole.
A manual tunnel with need some massaging to get it in, and removal of the std gearbox mounts.
If you mount it the way i did, it rotates the rear of the engine and gearbox up, and could make your exhaust hit if its not looked after.

I'm after $120
Email me at cramptonmark@hotmail.com or reply here.

Cheers.

    Hi Sean
If you go this way then keep an eye on my post as I'm doing a custom mount for my Celica conversion which I'm trying to retain the factory appearance.
I can easily produce another kit which can be easily installed.
Or if anyne else is planning this conversion let me know if interested

    Cheers

    Paul,

Do you mean your going to use the standard gearbox mounting holes to fit the celice box ?

No, in the manual tunnel the original mounts need to be removed as there is limited room - plus they need to be moved rearward. Saying that you can use the OEM mounts with a custon cross member if you have an auto tunnel.
Some just bolt the new cross member floor pan with sandwich plates but I find this a little agricultural. The original car that donated my Dellow conversion parts had an auto tunnel but the cross member used was an absolute abortion!
Mine will have additional box sections welded to the floor and tunnel to bolt the new cross member too.
I want mine to look as original a practically possible.
    See below.

Ey mate, from my understanding, this kit includes the custom gear needed to adapt a new w50 onto my pinto? Or I could just get it rebuilt?

    Hey,

Sorry i thought I was subscribed to the thread, but apparently not.

    Ill send across some pics.

Umm, I think it should be complete just swap with a good gearbox, but im not 100%  most worried about the speedo cable which has quite a bit of exhaust rash.

    Cheers.

    Hi Mate,

As per the top of the thread, do you know what was involved in modifying the input shaft?

    Cheers
