Lowering ride height

Hey guys,
 
I have a 1.6L panelvan and I want to lower the car around 2" all around. I don't want to go down the coilover path at this stage, I just want to keep it cheap. 
 
Can someone please tell me if they have done this using lowered springs on the 1.6L struts... It seems that everywhere only has 1.5" lowered i.e. smcka and king springs????
 
Could someone point me towards a product that will provide this? I'm not too fussed about the performance and such, just want to get it looking fresh. 
 
I'm aware of lowering blocks on the back and that is no issue...

    Just buy some lowering blocks for the rear,and i  bought a set of 2" lower springs from king springs.

    UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear. HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall. TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

    I bought lovells progressive rate 'low' springs for mine but they actually raised the car by about 3mm.
    Thankfully the retailer gave me a refund, and explained that the standard springs sag over time. So be prepared for that if you buy new coils. Lovells/King only do a 'low', not a 'super low'. IMO it's not worth the time & money.
    I had my standard coils reset 50mm by Mayne spring works. It cost about $80 and yes, they remain captive when the car is jacked up.

    if standard springs can be dropped (compressed) by 50 mm, has anyone compressed king springs an extra 30mm?   I need to drop my front (2lt, monroe gas, low king springs) by around 30-40mm.
    Will they remain captive if i do this?

    Buy lowered kingspring springs for the front if its not low enough jus cut the coil down trial and error take a bit at a time... Id jus cut half a coil off... and get lowering blocks for the back...
    Decent shocks all round

    Get a spare set of coils from wreckers and angle grind off 1.75 coils off, this should get it about -2in. the 1st full coil doesnt do much in way of height drop....maybe 15mm. Fit decent inserts while the strut is apart. 1 trick i done (not recomended) is drain the old oil from inserts and replace with engine oil, this stiffens the shock but will blow out the seals and valving after a few weeks....but fun !!
