Freight from VIC to NSW

I am after some recommendations for freight companies that could transport a gearbox from VIC to NSW. A rough idea of cost would be good too.

www.e-go.com.au is by far the best
I have used them a lot and they are cheap and very easy to use
You arrange it all online and they deliver door to door
You get a quote online too - it takes a couple of minutes

Thanks for that... I will check them out. Now, next question... approximately how much does a 5 speed gearbox weigh?

You're really testing my memory now!
You may remember that I imported 20 of them a few years ago. I brought them in without bell housings because they could be used with the 4 speed BH and I think they weighed around 30Kg????
I used to use Mcafferty's coaches for freight and I remember that they were slightly heavier than they would allow though they let me send them anyway because they were a good compact size for lifting. Sorry I can't be more help

    It's not me, it's you.....

Yeah, I noticed on the e-go website that items over 25kgs should be on a pallet. Could be a problem...

Find your nearest greyhound freight depot.  They have a 25kg limit too but will take heavier via prior arrangement.  I have started using them for work with small parcels and they have been excellent.  You can even reduce costs if you pick up and drop off to the depot.

Hi Sean, use someone like Toll IPEC, if the weight mentioned above is correct it wouldn't cost more than $25.00 and you can track it online.
The Melb-Syd and Syd-Melb legs are cheap for these carriers because of the volume. PM the details if you need help.
