Thanks Brett, grinding everything off the rocker cover is on the to do list but not very high on the priority list Haltech E8 is the engine management I am running, the map sensor in the engine bay gives it away.

Cheers

RS 2000 - car looks awesome, great stance, how much have you lowered it front & rear?
Is your car engineered with the Haltech?
I am in NSW and the engineer signing off my mods told me if I stick with the factory computer and factory pollution gear he will be happy to certify the mods.

Just used a 5" flap disc on a grinder with light pressure as not to grind dents into it . primer and paint with 2000 grit paper its a mitsi colour off the new lancer.

When all else fails, go to the shed.

Hey guys,
i know i mentioned this on the old forum but have has anyone thought about quad throttle bodies? I have read they provide great low down torque on the gti-r, but as we all know the heads are compleatly different, and the manifold wont bolt up to the RWD sr20det's so you need to have a custom manifold/plenum etc etc.
Does anyone think its worth it? or just stick with a singe throttle body?90mm or whatever?
Cheers
Barney

Also can anyone recommend any where to get a custom made radiator and intercooler??I'm in Camden NSW but don't mind travelling if the works done right!

Turbo or N/A?? Wouldn't waist time and money going quad throttle with the SR20DET in an Escort. What point is having more Kilowasps if you can't sting with it??

SR20DE in an Escort on the other hand.. YES SIR!!

That pic is of a SR20DE in a 280ZX (I think??). Contact www.efihardware.com (Australian company) for more info.

Theres a few guys down south that run quad throttle bodys well there in the process of setting them up...
Check out ikeya formula website they sell the setup...
I personaly dont think its worth it and alot of guys will agree... By the time u get the kit and hav it setup properly the gains r minimal over single tb

As or throttle body 90mm is wayyyyyyy to big... The standard s13 throttlebody is good for 650hp...
Im running an 80mm BMI billet throttle body on my setup and im chasing somwere aroud 600/700rwhp through an auto... I would stick with somthig around 70/75mm help keep response etc n help the turbo com on a bit quicker...

I was only thinking along these lines as i have a gti-r setup sat in the garage, looks like everyone agee i don't think its worth the $$$ to modify and setup so will give it a miss.

esc-078:
yeah would be on a sr20det s13, but re-thinking i think i'll have more than enough power to keep me happy
esky79:
sorry mate just through in 90mm as a number off the top off my head was no real thought put into that, thanks for the advice i will stick to the standard size
