what tie rod ends?

Hi guys,

Nearly finished front end on cortina, but am being held up on tryng to find correct tie rod ends that will suit mk2 escort rack and capri strut with capri steering arm.

The mk2 escort tie rod end taper is alot bigger than capri version which joins to steering arm.

The capri tie rod end has smaller thread (1/2" unf) than escort(14x2 metric) that joins to rack.

The tie rod ends I tried where Premier Performance brand
Any help out there?

Cheers Dan

You need the 'green' tie rod ends.

Don't know whether Aussie allows but we run rose joints in place of tie rods. Just have to machine up some spacers to fit and taper is taken out of arm by drilling out then just run high tensile bolt.
