32/36 Webber on a Kent engine

Hey I'm only just signed up to this forum,
I'm always on the site trying to get some ideas for my escort,
I brought a 75 4 door last year,it's been the best car I've driven so far, The only problem, it can be a bit sluggish up hills,
I was told replacing my stock carbie with a 32/36 Webber and it'll get up and go, has anyone had any experience with putting a Webber on a Kent and is it worth the trouble.
I was told a few different things that it's good and some saying it's not worth it at all.

Most definitely do it!!!!! It certainly is worth the trouble, don't expect it to turn the car into a rocket ship but the Kent starts to perform and sound like it was intended and not like a asthmatic vacuum cleaner. I'de say its one of the easiest and cheapest performance mods you could do on a Kent. Grab yourself the mk2 Ghia manifold with the throttle linkage boss on the manifold if you can, they flow better than the earlier type without the boss.

    Yeah thanks guys,
I'm not expecting the most power but just to get a bit more response,
I just brought a crane electronic ignition kit too,
My plan in the near future is to build a spare engine I have in the shed just basic cam port/polish heads exhaust and extractors,
again just looking for a bit more power, I was told to just get a 2 ltr but I would rather stick with a 1.6 Like a granny spec sort of thing,
I don't know how to pm, Were in SA do you live ?
