Where's all the sweet eskies?

Is it a good thing or a bad thing... that there's been no new cars in the showroom for months?

I know my boring RS2000 has been on the road for 8 years since in my possession, many updates (motor x2, power up by 3 times, custom struts, bigger brakes, roll cage, custom parts, body strengthening and the list goes on) but still is the same car....Need some more new cars to view...

A few of my good mates such as:

Phil has an awesome Mk1 Cortina getting the works, okay it is totally berserk[88][88][:u][:0][%]

Fehlbie has a Mk2 Escort getting some extraordinary mods as well...Things are really hotting up with this so look out for some fantstic progress. Turbo Zetec....Nathan please progress this build[;^)][:u][:x)][:I][%]

GrumpyMk1 (Dave) Mk1 Escort has a full caged esky in the build, could be a Cossie too...Insane[;^)][88][:u]

mMy bubble arched Mk1 Panel van is about to hit the road (3 months maybe). Just got the motor going, running quad throttle bodies off GSXR 750 with Haltech management. Sounds the part and looks the part. 13x8 superlites! Check my topics. Haven't updated for a while but i will once the car is back home :)

Just finished removing the tar off the underneath. enough crud to fill a 20L bucket.
Degrease before i add paint within a week, Monza Red should look fancy enough.
Currently fending off the old man, who wants to replace the Pinto with a Clevo.

How are youse guys getting these mods through engineering tho'?
Like fitting 13x8's - I was checking Qld's regs (for road use) and the 13 x 7's seem unlikely to pass muster & certainly not the 175/50 x 13's they fit on them in the UK.
And Max's Clevo would be a no-no too wouldn't it (road use)?

The Clevo would be a no-no, but wider wheels are easy to get around. Get it registered with skinnies on and put nice wheels on afterwards, QLD cops love Escorts more than life itself and will not defect you. I got pulled over many times with 13x7s and no carbon cannister and they always just wanted to talk to me about the car.

I used to hav 16x7 superlites all round pulled over a million times for "random" breath tests n didn't say a word about the wheels once basicly said very nice car lol
Im runnin 17x7 on the front and 17x9.5 on the back now with a 6point rollcage so ill see how i go lol cage and engine conversion is mod plated so thats no dramas but ill see how they like the wheels wen i get pulled over..,
