Hi Tybrown. How was the trip, you didn't happen to get any contacts about the opening 1/4 windows?

It will be undercoated and left for a few weeks, i can't wait to see it in flat black.
The Nosecone is my next major purchase, I can't wait to pick it up.

I doubt it will make it back on the road this year. It might do a Lakeside track day or Two.
The quick rack is assembled and have a new front sway bar to install, thanks to Danny M.

Mark i got totally ripped off by the wife... while in the uk i was doing tours and pooh pooh all the time and didn't even get to see ONE.. not one cossie/old school ford while i was there!!!

In South Africa i saw 2 mk2 Escorts and that as about it but they both has the opening 1/4 windows. Due to the health of my Grandfather and because there was no way in hell i wanted to go for a drive to find the car parts stores (i was on my nerves the whole time i was there) i basically didn't get to do what i wanted too!! a bit disappointing really! You really have to go there to realise how bad it is!!!!

Is there anything i can help with mark?

send me a text is you like?

As they say. Happy wife, happy life.
I have thought being a RS500 owner, the UK part would of been scarier.
I bet you didn't mention it to anyone over there, they were popular with thieves when they were first brought out there that way.

I have a few contacts from South Africa, they wont go back.
I fully understand not wanting to go anywhere unnecessarily. unarmed!

I am now wondering if Two door windows can be used in a Four door door. I hate the non opening 1/4 windows.

I will give you a bell if i get stuck TY, thanks.

Mark, good stuff! Are you going back to the same colour? I reckon you should go for primer guards and nosecone, and burnout wheels on the back [:o)]

Are you finally getting the chance to use my old bonnet?!

I can't complain with progress so far, i fixed the headlight bracket today and painted them gloss Black.

The 1/4 mile might get a workout before i put the interior back in.

I couldn't of done it without Johns help.
He has know me since i was born, so i can't be that bad.

Working with him has been an experience. it's amazing what you learn from a master.
The front guard welds in the engine bay look factory.

Still deciding on a final colour, any suggestions

I have been thinking Black or Monza Red paint left over from the Supra tidy up.

i would say go back with the last colour you had, but if your sick of red black always looks good when a car has alot of chrome
