Window Chrome Finisher.

Hi all, im currently in the process of redoing the chrome surround on my front and rear windows on my 79 MKII ghia, and i've gotten to the point where i now have to put the little aluminium end pieces on either side of the bottoms, how is it done?

i've already ruined one of them trying every method i could think of, but nothing seems to work...[8~2]
