Well , I'm am disappointed [:-(] ,

just got an email back from the Aldridge's and they have looked at

my images of the trims, realised they can't do MK2 4 door trims,

I had chopped the inner top frame from other doors and kept them for

just incase I had to make my own frme and board for the trim, it

looks like that's the way to go now,

It may be worthwhile speaking to Vintage Motor Garage at Wisemans Ferry (if you don't mind speaking to the opposition ) as I remember from our factory inspection a couple of years ago that they had a well developed trim shop.

What would really help me is a good close up pic of the chrome beading seen on the interior. I have access to a good a upholsterer called dad, it will take some attempts but i know his perfectionist attitude will end up in a supreme result. [:u]

So Aldridge does mk2 2dr trims with the rolled tops...are they the front and the rears as per Australian models???

There is a solution - Jeff Bloom from Aust Muscle Car Traders is making these for Mk 2 2 Doors.

How do I know this? Jeff bought some old doors cards from me and was going to use these to build moulds for after market reproductions. I've sent him an email after this post ewent up to see how it was progressing. He has come back to me and tells me they are available for $880 (4 door cards) plus $55 freight Aust wide. I haven't seen pic, but he indicated they have the chrome Mylar (?) - it appears the Aldridge ones don't have this (only based on their web site).

Owners of 4 Doors - I've sent an email back to see if he is making these so I'll update this post when I get a reply.

The quality of the workmanship in that place is unbeleivable.
I worked for the owners father for 9 years and know first hand what is expected from the tradesmen there. Jonathan Houston (the proprietor) is even more pedantic than his father ever was.

I saw a good looking set of black 4 door trims on trade me recently.

Might be worth a look.
