Body deadener

Body deadener. i was reading on here somewhere about someone removing like 6KG of body deadener from the floor of the escort! i've looked underneath the car and whereve else i can, and the floors seem to be 100% is it still worth removing it as its just dead weight? would it be worth replacing it with something? or just paint the floor wack some carpet in and leave it at that?

Thanks
Daniel

I removed abit over 2 full buckets of the stuff and replaced it with dyna mat extreme. much quieter now and alot virtually no heat transfer from the exhaust either. Also a small weight saving but if you were to not replace it with anything obviously it would save abit of weight but it would be louder in the cabin.
