Mk2 4 Door Rally Pack Restoration

1978 Rally Pack.

I found this Rally Pack on this forum for sale in Sept 2009,

It was in Queensland and still a goer,

So we flew up on the Saturday morning and picked up the car and

began to nurse it home,

We had left home at 4am and were on the 1st flight out of Sydney for

Brisbane and we were back home with the car at 1am Sunday morning,

It was like being on a wish, don't stop, just get us home and the

closer we got to home the better the car ran,it was like a ratterly

rocket but we made it.

When I look back now at the photo's, I wonder what I saw,

Somebody had walked on the boot, turret & bonnet as well,

I started the restoration in April 2010 and it is ready for the road

again this week coming May 2011.

anyway here are some of the images:

I'm not sure what you saw either, but I'm glad you did! You've done a fantastic job restoring it. Looking forward to seeing more progress photos (as well as more photos of the car finished!)

If you're coming up this way I'll entrust my GT1600 to you. Consider it a working holiday.

Just like it would have looked when it first rolled out of the showroom, probably better. Well done.
