IIRC the 2lt Escort one fits with a loom mod, I have a 65 Amp one from a 3lt Sierra $100 if that helps

Try Mini Bits in Beaconsfield (Vic) on 03 9707 1666. I bought a remanufactured Lucas 60amp alternator for my V6 Capri last year and it's faultless!

I sourced a direct replacement unit for my wifes 72 V6 from Ashdown Ingrams, OEX is the manufacturer & I will get the part number tommorrow, it fits exactly on the bracket and the 3 pin plug fits without modification.

XF Falcon alternator $45.00 from the local wrekers, fits with a couple adjustments, main one being the change from lug to spade conector. It is a 60 amp unit, plenty big enough for me as it has 2/3 extra capacity of the original unit and looks very similar.
