Harrys P-Van

Hey everyone, thought we'd document our progress on our P-Van.
Its a windowless, 1976 Mk2. The aim is to do it up, orange, and sign write it for our T-shirt printing and design business.

We'll see how we go!

Harry

So we're in the garage, and going over it. Lots to do. Clean up the engine bay, wiring everywhere, go over the body, find all the rust! Fun times.

We found some old photos of the P-Van, did anyone out there own it before us? Looked good. Pitty all the good stuff was taken! Inside looked great, front looked tough.

getting down and dirty with body work, welding, poking around.... you know the scary stuff. Never know what you'll find i guess.

Like stuffed floors, sills, holes around windscreens....

still going on the body... getting cold out there too! Engine is on its way out, drivers door cut off... (that'll be fun to fix) and more rust taken out and repaired. So much for 99% rust free!

    Good fun anyway.

    HI guys,

looking like a bit of a task in front of you. Makes me regret selling the Sundowner i owned recently.

the front lip spoiler and wheels in the old phots does make the van look touch and this will be the look i wish to achieve in the next build.

looking forward to more info and pics of the build

    thanks mate,

There is a bit to do... body, as always, being the hard and painful piece. Everything else i really love doing.

Its all in the body prep and paint though...apart from a stinking hot pinto!

    cheers.

Winter! Gotta keep going. Put it up, inside and close the door. Start working on the small stuff.

And some more stuff... Car almost stripped, engine out, ready to put on new stand!
Send fly wheel off to be lightened, fit mild cam, new seals, swap 32/36 for 38/38... lick of paint... awesome.
