OK enoughs enough me thinks....give the lad a break. He is a new poster/member and was just trying to help out Alex. Maybe he has to replace the A pillars anyway so can weld in a new hinge panel????

Alex, have you had any luck with the pins yet?? [xo]

thanks for all that guy... i didn't want to do it, and the pins were too corroded to even deal with... very frustrating... i'm sure with patients and some time, going slowly, we'll manage to get the door on again... if not, there are other options. If i had my time again, i think the front guard removal idea might have saved me...

take heed peoples out there... remove guard before door hinge cutting....all good.

To be honest I dont see it as a major issue, actually probably a good way of actually aligning the door for show car quality door gaps. The hardest part is going to be getting new hinges. The front guards will have to come off too.
with new hinges or alternate hinges, perhaps bolt on versions, align the door in the opening get it perfect and reweld the new hinge in the right place, might be the only escort with squared up doors.

How about going down to the wreckers, picking up MK2 bolt on hinges and fit them to the A post, shouldnt be to hard.
