Problems with tyre clearance.

Hi,
I have some 13x7 rims with -13mm offset and a048 205 60 13 , yet they rub on lock.
The car has flared arches so you would think it clear OK, I have also tried dropping the front down but I am limited by the springs and suspension.

Any Ideas I am at my wits end with this dilema.

Do I have the wrong rims for the car?

TIA
Emil

Rims measure 200mm wide so that means -13mm offset.

Struts are MK2 escort with Bilstiens, threaded section 50 mm down from top of strut, currently have some 200lb 8 inch springs installed

    Where do they rub?

Also by the pictures it looks like you dont have any running gear in it which will have an effect on where the front end sits.

Yeah the car has engine and box installed

This was the car with 1600 struts and no engine

Front has come down a bit with 2L struts and new springs.

Mine has twincam guard lips and 7" wheels and i had to cut the front of the wheel arch to allow clearance. I dont have the problem at the rear of the arch but opening up the front will allow you to pull the caster forward which will mean they should clear the back anyway.

I have a sway bar in mine with screw type adjustable caster which makes this easy.

if you look at my escort you will notice i had to remove some of the front lower guard to gain clearance.it is normal to have to do this when running tyre dia greater than 560.also your offset isnt helping.guards may be wider but come in further at base.if you wind down coilovers it will also help.
