How the ? do I undo the nuts on the booster bracket

Hey guys im currently doing a manual converstion on my mk2, and just fitting the manual pedal box i have to undo the nuts that hold it in, which also hold the booster bracket on, the nut on the motor side is easy but what about the on on the other side?? Right below the throttle cable? its ride next to the side wall, and there are the brake lines going down there, and i cant fit a socket down the side either, i tried with a ring spanner but still cant turn it enought to get it back on to turn more.. sorry if thats not undertandable but yehh any ideas would be awesome.

Thanks, Brandon.

It's a bugger for sure, when I did it, i used two spanners. One of them I had, for the other I went to Cheap as chips and got a small spanner set for something like $5. Swapping between the 2 all the time, I was able to gradually get like an eighth of a turn at a time and got it off. Did the reverse for putting it back on. Someone may have a better idea, but this worked for me.

A couple of extensions on a ratchet with a 13mm socket and wobble adapter can do the job depending on what else is in the way.

You need a set of ratcheting spanners, (open one end, ratcheting ring the other)you can get one down there and its simple. I pull a couple of Escorts apart every year and always pull the pedal box's and brakes boosters and brackets off.

These nuts are 12 or 13mm I cant recall? You could buy just the one spanner but you can buy cheapy sets from about $60 that will give you the common sizes (10,11,12,13,14 & 15). I think I paid about $90 for my Kinchrome ones

You will be surprised how often you use these. Of course if you have a mate with a set you can always borrow 'em.

    Cheers

Once you undo the hard to get nut, I have never fully tightened it up again.
Remove the linkage pins before you remove the booster from the bracket.
