scammer alert - which page of this forum?

I have posted a few adverts for gear that I need on this forum, using these pages i have managed a near perfect rebuild of my Mk1 Project.

I have been called and emailed by a few decent fellahs both from this forum, and their mates, I have since met and done business with most.

hi again if you were some of the blokes!

HOWEVER, recently i was contacted by a forum member, he recons allegedly from England, some times liverpool aome times london.

his username is

GrahamT

i dont want to do the bloke an injustice by calling him names if he is either legitimate or had his account hacked or something.

but everyone BEWARE.

The list of parts i wanted, he had, all in excellent A1 condition, he could deliver economically and quickly. western union transfer was prefered. ((african origins)).
spider senses tingling but needing a part I continued.

however, eventually smelling a rat, as basically no one has hockey stick chrome trim for a MK1 on this planet, and he had a couple of sets reasonably priced and ready to send i called him after requesting his phone number.

nothing checks.

beware!

i would love to be proved wrong and villified for name calling, go for it, prive me wrong. but all be cautious

Me too, same guy. He got stuck when I asked specifics. Checked out that he only had 2 posts and he said ' I still have the fuel sender you are looking for' yet I clearly had no prior communication. All done on pm not on forum pages

In the last few weeks I placed a topic in "Wanted to Buy" on this forum.

    I recieved a PM from:
grahamthompson200@gmail.com, supposedly in the UK saying that he still had the parts available, however I had no previous message from him. I had already purchased the parts elsewhere so i did not respond to his message. I recall that my intuitions said something was sus.

Could this be the same guy??

Im glad others have had suspicions about this scammer, as i do not want to talk out of school on a fellow ford nutter, however, he seems to be on the prowl.

    be cautious.[V]
