rubber bit

I'm after the rubber boot that fits on the clutch lever, where it comes out of the mk2 gear box.Any ideas where i can get one,also what holds the speedo cable in the g/box

    Speedo cable is held in with a circlip - it sits in the indent (slot) where the cable connects to the gearbox.

    Those boots are pretty hard to find in useable condition. They have usually gone rock hard by now.

    They are totally useless anyway and there is now issue what so ever in running without it. In fact my Escorts have never had one

    give the circlip grove a good clean that helps them stay in ---as for the boot good luck --

    I think I have a boot, I'll look, IIRC I was keeping it in case I got a 1600 capri but that wont happen....
