MK2 rims and tyres free

I have a set of standard steel rims with OK tyres that I pulled of a GL Escort about 12 months ago.

They have been sitting out in the weather but would be fine as a spare set to roll a car around on while you are restoring it.

The tyres are actually not too bad and most look roadworthy.

If anyone wants them they can have them for free, they are on the Gold Coast.

Cheers

    Dude

All Mk2's had 13 inch rims (so you are out of luck).

The only standard 14's that fit are quite rare Centura 4 cylinder, (I'll post a pic on the weekend of an RS I have that has a set on it at present).

Why on earth anyone would want 14's on a road car is beyond me, go buy yourself some cheap 13 inch mags.

    Cheers

    Truee.
Hmm cause im trying to find a set of 14/15 inch steelies/stocko rims for my esky, Deep dish them. And i dont want 13's cause i cant realy have low profile tires, cause it will be too small of wheel, but with 14/15's i can atleast have a fairly low profile.

    Thanks.

Go 15's dude. They are your best bet for steelies if you want lo pro tyres. 195/50 or even 45's are easy to come by. I don't think that there are that many options for lo profile 14's.

Saab rims should do the trick.

Alrighty. Will there be any gaurd/steering problems with the 15's, and 7" wide? Should i roll my gaurds. and what offset would i need.

    Cheers.

There's heaps of threads on this forum covering guard clearance, but in a nutshell, 15x7's will fit, but might rub a little on the front spoiler.

195's will help, as they create a fairly small rolling radius and of course a not that wide,

Saab rims have a reasonable positive offset (inwards), so as long as they don't rub on the front struts, will help with outer guard clearance.

I used to run 15x7's with a +26 offset - only rubbed on the front spoiler (RS2k and rally pack, same) a little.
