32/36 weber jets

Hey guys iv got a 32/36 on my 1600. The jets I got in a rebuilt kit are 135 and 140 and they where way to big. I put smaller ones in and that still wasn't good so I worke it out to be 125 and 130. Do I need to change the air correcter jets accordingly to the main jets? Please help it's pretty urgent,

Cheers Brandon.

Usually you would need to change air correctors when changing mains.

When tuning a Weber you need to remember you have three circuits to consider -
    Idle
    Progression
    Main

Idle and progression are fed from the idle jets, main from the main/emulsion tube/air corrector combo.

In these carbs the air correctors govern when the mains start feeding fuel and influence the overall rich/lean mixture at continued wider throttle openings.

Smaller air corrector brings on the main circut earlier and richens the upper range, larger air correctors do the opposite.

If you have reduced the mains, then on a relational base you will need to reduce the air correctors.

    Cheers

Thank you soo much. If I have 125 and 130 jets is there a rough number for the air corrector and emultion tube?

Iideally you need to throw her on a dyno and jet appropriately, however you can at least get into the ball park yourself.

Don't get overly worried about emulsion tubes at this point, most cases you can jet around them within reason.

    What is in it now?

What does it do in top gear at steady speeds
    40,
    60,
    80,
    100

(backfire, bog down, cut out, snatch, ???)

how does it feel at 1/2 throttle acceleration in 2nd/3rd from idle to you usual peak revs?

    Cheers

    Hi Brandon,

I went through this about 12 months ago with my 1600 (std with extractors). I have all the info written down at home, I'll try to remember to have a look tonight.

Well I had to big of jets like 135 and 140 and it bogged on access and full throttle. Then went 115 and 120 and it staved on access and pre good at full. I order some 125 and 130. And tht should be alright. Just dunno what to do with the air coorecter ones
