IF you already have one but it isnt working properly just take it to an instrument repairer and have it fixed. I had 2 done not that long ago by Ringwood Speedo service in Melbourne and from memory they only cost around $100. Much better value than buying a second hand one that most likely isnt any better than the one you have.

The resistor cards themselves are easily purchased from the speedo repairers. The resistor wire is the part that wears out. The cards are simple to replace. Just remember to set the resistance using an ohm meter after reasembling the card to the pickup otherwise your fuel gauage will tell a furfy.

The problem I have is that the sender connector broke off as the retaining plastic material is all gone brittle(sat around for last 10 years with no fuel in tank).I attempted to repair it with grey q bond which is non conductive and fuel resistant but i did bump it again while the tank was out and broke it. I just wanted to see if there is any good second hand ones around. If not I will repair it again this time with a small bolt and some crush washers to seal and insulate at same time. Do instrument repairers repair broken connectors on the sender unit???

    Cheers
