peeled the old vinyl off carefully.
put some foam where the carpet was.
glued the vinyl along the bottom back first and let it set.
then i put glue down in the grooves of the old pattern. Flipped the vinyl onto it, patted it and flipped it off again to get a pattern of where the glue needs to go and then glued that side. (u can see in the pic)
Let it set till very dry.
Then flipped it over again and stretched it a little (not too much) and started at the bottom pressing it into the grooves working my way up.
let it set.
Then glues it up around all the edges.

I shoud do a tube vid i suppose.
I was very happy with the result for a home job.

Ok - well I have had a few things to do around the house so its been a bit slow.
Seats belts carpet and console are all in.
Installed the bonnet struts.
Fixed the steering prob by shifting the strut tops inwards to get purchase on the tie rods below.
Pulled a big week and a big monday and got to drive it for the first time in 14 years last night :-D

Was a bit worried about the brakes coming down the drive as I have never used them to this point.
They worked well - need bedding though.
Needs a tune/balanced.
Steering is great.
Not the greatest pic but...

Technically, is that a "drive" or a "roll"?

Looks great.

Nah after that the photographer (Sarah) got in the car and we went around the block a few times and ducked over to a friends around the corner.
I'm sure the neighbors were impressed.

Now for an exhaust.
