Lowering the roll centre dials out over steer.Stiffer swaybars promote less grip if too stiff so understeer at front and oversteer at rear. With a properly set up suspension system, the swaybars dont do a hell of a lot.I run a 16mm front swaybar, biggest I would consider is 18mm.Rear I dont believe the car is heavy enough to warrant one[:0] I spoke to Dave at Gartrac in the UK last week, they recommend a 16mm bar for their customers and when I order my tension strut kit,the arb will be a 16mm item again.[;^)] Oh and yes the back seat is gone,it has been for 10 years now.You cant set the bars and boxes correctly for anti squat and retain the back seat.

Looks like you have done your home work on it.[%]. I have made some major comprimises with mine to retain the back seat. Cant have everything i guess. Have fun. Keep us all posted on your progress. Out of curiosity, Instead of chassing LSD centers, have you seen or used a diff lock (detroit/lock rite) being used around a track. I am looking at fitting one to my next diff.

For a circuit car, there as bad as a spool, even worse, especially the detroit with the aggressive action. The best limo for a borgwarner available at the moment is the kaaz plate limo, but you will pay a pretty penny(around $2000) I dont know much about the lock rite, but if its a air lock set up,I would guess about 300hp to be its safe working limit.

A lock rite is about $500.00 and just goes in place of your spider gears. They have a good waranty. They say they are unbrakeable.[%] With waranty given, even behind a 350 chevs ect. A mate has one in his FJ40 land cruser with a 307 chev in it and has had no worries so far. There is no banging when it engages like a detroit. I cant realy justify $2000 for a lsd at this stage.[8~2]

Phil, is that to scale? (or do you have all lengths), do you want to model the suspension in 3D?, we can animate the suspension squat under load and also the roll/torsion under cornering conditions and then analyse using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) the forces, shear, torsion and bending moments under specified loads for each member and then determine the required steel grade to be used in your application for the best load/mass/cost ratio! (OK that is getting too berserk)...................on a more simple level I am modelling and drawing up the engine mounts for the Zetec to world cup cross member for Fehlbie right now, will post them soon.

It is to scale, but Im probably going to overkill the material spec. The rod ends are 31800lb rated compared to the 7000lb rated items supplied in the kits from the UK.As far as modelling goes,Im relying partly on common sense and partly on instinct to ensure it all works.I can usually visualise most parts of the operation and work out any drama's before they happen, but if you like I will get you a copy of the drawings Ive done so you can see how right or wrong I have it[;^)] It would be interesting to know. Have you taken pics yet of your wheels?

I took photos tonight, will have to wait until the morning at work to post them to you. I hope they show the difference clearly......it is just too different in finish for my application.

Phil, If you dont already know you can get thin disks for the grinder that are far better for cutting sheet steel. Lot less sparks and heat, it barely even blisters the paint right up to the cut,[%] The locker works like a detroit locker. I have bought one now so i will post some pics of it when i fit it this weekend. About 1 1/2 hours to fit it. , Then 2 wheels will always be spinning[:x)][:x)][:x)][:x)][:x)][:x)]
